i200 runs on Microsoft
Internet Information Service known as (IIS). This electronic document management
system is simple to install
& allows users easy access to their document management file store via
their browser.
The DMS system operates server side on the IIS platform. INVU S200 must be
in place in a st&ard installation for i200 to function.
It will allow the user to log on to the site via the st&ard INVU log
on. Once in the system users can search across the INVU system through their
web browser. Once the search is completed the returned results will be displayed
in a format which is easy to read. By simply clicking on the result the
document will be displayed in the web browser. The system also allows for
documents to be checked out & edited. When being edited the document
is downloaded to the local machine allowing the user to work off-line. (In
order to download correctly certain browser security settings are required
to allow document control). When reconnecting to INVU the document can be
checked in & the new version is then added to INVU.
i200 allows flexibility for external users to see & edit (according
to INVU security) information that until now could only have been accessed
whilst on the network.
